Blue court 9 at Queen E park to become one of many!

The test court has passed the test. Park Board will proceed with repairing and colour coating the other courts in May and June, weather permitting. The cheering from players on Little Mountain can be heard from a great distance.

News flash from Queen Elizabeth Park!
More than a decade after the pavement was laid down, Park Board gives Queen E players one painted court!!!!!!

New, blue, court 9
. Ta da!

And there's a promise of more???

If you cannot read the small print above, it says that, "The court repairs will be inspected Spring 2010, and if successful, the remaining courts will be repaired...".
But if Park Board deems the pilot project NOT successful?? Will the injury-inviting ridges and cracks on other courts be ignored? If not, is there a reason why public safety must wait until 2010?

The view west, from court 16 to court 9. That
is a 12" ruler lying in the photo.

Ridges and cracks on court 12.

Not pictured are a number of new, hang-to-the-ground, nets. No longer are there tattered net tapes on any of the 17 courts on the site. Thank you Park Board, thank you.
